The School of Training in Transpersonal Psychotherapy offers a unique opportunity for Practical Evaluation Internship and Qualifying Internship for the profession of psychologist, with an innovative focus on states of consciousness and qualitative research in the field of transpersonal psychology. The Qualifying Internship (TA) and Practical Evaluation Internship (TPV) consist of contextualised and supervised practical activities, which include direct observation and the execution of activities aimed at
to situated learning and to the development of procedural and relational skills and abilities that are fundamental for the exercise of professional activity. These skills are
refer to the typical and confidential acts, characterising the profession of psychologist also pursuant to article 1 of Law 18 February 1989, n. 56, and include the use of
cognitive and intervention tools for prevention, diagnosis, psychological support aimed at individuals, groups, social organizations and communities, as well as experimental, research and teaching activities.
Our internship program is distinguished by the combination of practical training and scientific research in the field of states of consciousness. The intern will have the opportunity to:
- directly observe technical, applicative and theoretical experiential work sessions within the training path of the students of the training school, of the three-year supervision improvement path, in a context of transpersonal psychotherapy, acquiring practical experience under the supervision of expert psychotherapists.
- Participate in qualitative research projects on the ways of experiencing consciousness, exploring how different states of consciousness can influence mental health, inner balance and psychological well-being.
Develop a deep understanding of states of consciousness through direct experience, being able to understand how it is fundamental to the therapeutic process
Acquire all the tools to be able to carry out the phenomenological analysis of what they see happening during the sessions -

Internship Specialization Areas
The internship involves involvement in the following clinical and research areas:
1. Transpersonal Psychotherapy:
- Observation and participatory observation of the clinical work of the sessions conducted by the students of the psychotherapy school, in the context of both clinical and existential problems.
- Observation and experimentation of Biotransenergetics intervention methodologies.
- Integrated approach that combines elements of classical psychotherapy with the transpersonal dimension.
- Achievement of the following skills:
a) to the assessment of the case;
b) the appropriate use of psychological tools and techniques for the collection of
information to carry out a case and context analysis;
c) to the preparation of a professional intervention that is theoretically founded and based on evidence;
d) to the evaluation of the process and outcome of the intervention;
e) to the drafting of a report;
f) upon return to the patient/team;
g) establishing appropriate relationships with patients;
h) establishing appropriate relationships with colleagues;
i) to understand the legal/ethical/deontological aspects of the profession, as well as their possible conflicts.
2. Research on States of Consciousness:
- Active participation in qualitative studies on states of consciousness and their impact on the psyche and well-being.
- Insights into how transpersonal psychotherapy can help work with altered states of consciousness to facilitate therapeutic change.
- Analysis of qualitative data relating to experiences of consciousness through interviews, questionnaires and other data collection techniques.
3. Clinical Supervision and Training:
- Participation in monthly supervision by experienced psychotherapists to understand the phases and processes of clinical work and broaden the development of professional skills.
- Theoretical training on psychological and clinical issues, on the Psychotherapeutic model of Biotransenergetics and their application in clinical practice.
4. Integration of Research with Clinical Practice:
- Practical application of theoretical knowledge derived from research on states of consciousness in psychotherapeutic work.
- Opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops and seminars on transpersonal psychotherapy.

To participate in our qualifying internship for the profession of psychologist, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- those who have obtained or will obtain a master's degree in psychology based on the previous non-qualifying teaching regulations (LM-51 & 58/S).

🧩 What are the dates when I can start the first semester of my post-graduate internship?
Although the decrees and Law no. 183/2021 do not establish a start date for the internship session, the OPL Joint Commission, in agreement with the Lombard Universities, proposes that the start of the internship sessions be: September - October, March - April of each year.
🧩 How does the qualifying internship at the School of Transpersonal Psychotherapy take place?
The qualifying internship is a practical and theoretical training opportunity to become a psychologist, which takes place within our school, with a particular focus on transpersonal psychotherapy and research on states of consciousness. The internship combines clinical experience with participation in qualitative research projects on altered states of consciousness, such as meditation, psychedelic experiences and other transformative experiences.

The internship is aimed at graduates in Psychology (bachelor's or master's degree) or those in possession of an equivalent qualification.
The TPV is indicated for those who have an interest in transpersonal psychotherapy, research on states of consciousness and feel the need for a “beyond the mind” approach and for those who wish to develop skills in an innovative field of psychology.
